Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Response in Aurora, IL. You will patrol a retail/mall location, deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff as part of a supportive team.

Responsibilities include routine patrols, monitoring entrances, responding to alarms, and documenting incidents. CPR certification is preferred; background checks and drug screenings are required by law.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate observations to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including entrances, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help identify unusual activity and potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and support visitor and contractor check-in procedures in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and promptly in required reports and/or logs.
