Job summary

Prosegur is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer in Florence, KY. This full-time position offers a $17.00 hourly wage and involves guarding duties, access control, and customer service at client sites.

You must be able to perform foot patrols, work weekends, and comply with site instructions while maintaining a professional demeanor. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, strong English communication skills, and the ability to follow complex instructions.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Capable of following complex instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in screening process including drug screen and background check.
• Knowledge of security operations and procedures.
• Must be able to work Weekends.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• Be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• Perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
• Respond to any calls from the operator requesting a shift to be covered with little to no notice.
• Must be able to cross-train in various locations for coverage, learning different SOPs and site instructions.

Physical Requirements: This position requires significant physical activity throughout the shift. Officers must be able to:

• Walk and stand for extended periods (including completing multiple rounds and patrols of up to 1–2 miles per shift)
• Frequently climb stairs, ramps, or ladders as required by site patrol routes
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Maintain alertness and situational awareness during all patrols
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
