Objective
This position is responsible for protecting, safeguarding, and securing assets, personnel, customers, and visitors.

Essential Functions
Be able to read and understand English to carry out printed rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training materials. Communicate effectively in English, both in person and via electronic devices (telephone, radio). Maintain professionalism and courtesy under stressful situations. Write precise reports and documentation as necessary.

Job Duties

• Perform security patrols.
• Enforce access control procedures.
• Protect property from theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
• Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, suspicious activities, hazards, and other security-related situations.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors following departmental procedures.
• Comply with the Embassy's access policies and instructions from security personnel.
• Respect and properly handle equipment; ensure premises cleanliness.
• Use messaging systems, print guest lists, fill logs, scan IDs, and file documents.
• Handle deliveries and parcels, delivering them to the mail room.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• Proficient in English
• At least 21 years old
• Capable of physical exertion, self-defense, tactical exercises, and weaponless defense
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Fluency in French is preferred

Additional Qualifications

Must pass pre-employment medical exam, drug screening, and background checks, including credit checks if applicable.
