Job summary

Prosegur in San Diego, CA is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer (Flex Officer) to provide customer-facing security services across assigned locations. Duties include patrolling, hazard reporting, and enforcing post instructions.

Candidates must be 18+, HS diploma or GED, CA guard card, strong English communication, clean driving record, and be available for 6 days each week across Day, Swing, or Graveyard shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years of age.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid CA guard card.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Clean driving record and valid driver license.
• Capable of following complex instructions.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in the company's screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
• Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
• Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
• Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
• Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
• Be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
• Perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
• Train in multiple locations and cover when needed.
• Be adaptable to schedule changes.
• Have availability to work more than two shifts to cover where the operator needs you to be scheduled depending on coverage needs.
