Job summary

Allied Universal in Tempe, AZ is seeking a Security Officer - Operations Center Rover to protect a financial institution and other clients. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, monitor access, provide exceptional customer service, and respond calmly to incidents.

This full-time role offers a daytime schedule with pay rate of $20.50 per hour and opportunities for growth, training, and access to advanced tools and programs that help you perform your duties and advance your career.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the financial institution location, including interior areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter grounds.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry in accordance with site procedures, and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting protocols.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift handoff information for Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
