Objective

This position is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers, and all visitors.

Essential Functions

• Read and understand English to effectively carry out rules, orders, instructions, and training materials.
• Communicate clearly in person and via electronic devices (telephone and radio) with co-workers and the public.
• Maintain a professional, tactful, and courteous demeanor under stressful situations.
• Compose clear reports and brief paragraphs in English as necessary.

Job Duties

• Perform security patrols.
• Enforce access control procedures.
• Protect property from theft, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
• Investigate incidents and write reports on accidents, suspicious activities, hazards, etc.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors following department procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• Proficient in English
• At least 21 years old
• Current Act 235 certification
• Prior security experience
• Capable of performing physically demanding duties and self-defense, including tactical exercises and weaponless defense.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Client approval required.
