Unarmed Security Officer for DOE NETL

Objective

This position is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, customers, and all visitors.

Essential Functions

• Read and understand English to carry out rules, orders, instructions, and training materials effectively.
• Communicate clearly in English, both in writing and verbally, with co-workers and the public.
• Maintain professionalism, tact, and courtesy under stressful situations.
• Prepare reports and documentation as necessary.

Job Duties

• Perform security patrols.
• Enforce access control procedures.
• Protect property from theft, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
• Investigate incidents and write reports.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Candidate Qualifications

• U.S. Citizen
• Proficient in English
• At least 21 years old
• Current Act 235 certification
• Prior security experience
• Capable of physical exertion, self-defense, and tactical exercises
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
