Job description

The FAA Security Officer position at the FAA post is responsible for providing security and to safeguard FAA employees, facilities, Government property and assets from loss, theft, damage, unauthorized use, criminal acts, espionage, sabotage and terrorism.

FAA Security Officers may conduct visitor and vehicle control and screening, monitor and respond to facility cameras and alarms from intrusion detection systems, perform magnetometer and X-Ray screening, and other duties as outlined in the Statement of Work. Must possess a good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.

Butler Security Inc. (BSI) is currently accepting applications for several unarmed security officer positions to service federal facilities near BWI. To qualify, applicants must :

• Be U.S. citizens, 21 or older;
• Have a minimum of three years security, law enforcement or military experience;
• Possess a high school diploma (or GED) from an accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Dept. of Education;
• Current VA DCJS Security License
• Have reliable transportation; and
• Be able to satisfy a medical / drug examination
