Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time unarmed patrol position in Ashburn, VA. The role emphasizes customer service and strict adherence to site policies during day shifts.

You will patrol buildings and grounds, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and communicate with site leadership and emergency responders. Requirements include a high school diploma, a guard card or license if applicable, and completion of background checks and drug screening per policy.

Qualifications

• Guard card or license preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet preferred.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and community members by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school and district protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entry points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, provide directions and assistance, and report concerns to appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders.
• Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.]
