Veterans Security Operations is seeking to increase our unarmed division to service our rapidly growing portfolio of clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security risks, ensuring the safety of people and property at their assigned post. This is a fast-paced position with some weekends required, so we're looking for an individual with experience in the security field who can handle stress well and remain vigilant under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a visual presence to deter potential suspicious activity.
  • Write clear and thorough reports for clients.
  • Patrol client properties for suspicious activity, security threats, and de-escalate or handle stressful situations as they arise.
  • Contact law enforcement or the fire department for extreme situations.
  • Reasonably detain people suspected of criminal activity until law enforcement arrives.
  • Escort discharged staff, trespassers, and other unwelcome parties off the premises.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Be 21 years of age or older.
  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and be insurable.
  • Must have a clean driving record & provide driving record upon hire.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to successfully complete a background check.
  • Pre-employment drug screening.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid Washington Security Guard License (armed/unarmed).
  • 2 Years of prior security experience OR
  • Prior Military experience OR
  • Prior Law Enforcement experience.
  • Customer Service background.
  • Knowledge of Veteran Security Operations and our mission.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $20.00 per hour
