Qualifications

• Must be 18+ for unarmed security officer roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pre-employment drug screening where permitted by law.
• Florida Class D Security License obtained prior to starting.
• Own a smartphone for clocking in, reporting, and communication.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Physical endurance to stand or patrol for extended periods outdoors in heat.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine patrols to maintain safety and observe guest behavior.
• Maintain a visible security presence as a deterrent.
• Provide courteous guest service, directions, and assistance while remaining professional.
• Assist management with incidents, disturbances, and emergencies, coordinating with emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate and timely incident reports per company procedures.

Position Details

Location: Tampa, FL 33619

Pay Range: $17.25 per hr

Schedule:

• Full time (40 hours) and Part time (32 hours)
• All Hours
• Weekend and Holiday availability required.
• 8 hour shifts

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine patrols of the property to maintain safety, observe guest behavior, and address concerns.
• Maintain a visible security presence as a proactive deterrent.

• Support management with incidents, disturbances, and emergencies, including coordinating with emergency services when necessary.
• Complete accurate and timely incident reports in accordance with company procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Must be 18 years or older for unarmed security officer roles; 21+ for armed security guard roles.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Must pass a background check in compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening (where permitted by law).
• Must obtain a valid Florida Class D Security License (must be completed prior to starting).
• Must own a smartphone for clocking in, reporting, and communication.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Must have the physical endurance to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods outside in high heat conditions.

Preferred but Not Required: Previous experience in security, military, or law enforcement is a plus.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8-12 hours)
• Ability to conduct foot patrols, including stair climbing
• Ability to work outdoors, including in heat and humidity
• Ability to lift or move up to 25 pounds as needed
