Job summary

Arkansas Children's is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer to patrol ACH Campus, monitor entry points, and support security operations. The position is full-time in the Security Department with a shift pattern from 9am to 9pm on Monday through Wednesday, and requires a Arkansas DMV driver's license. Certification in IAHSS-Basic within 12 months is recommended.

Safety-sensitive role with a tobacco-free workplace. Flu vaccines are required.

Qualifications

• No formal education required for entry
• High school diploma or equivalent recommended
• Entry level – no prior experience required
• Driver's License - Arkansas DMV required
• IAHSS-Basic certification recommended within 12 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Patrols assigned areas to enforce AC security/safety regulations and laws.
• Engages in Emergency Response and Emergency Management.
• Provides strategic assistance and responds to customer service needs as required.
• Assists in controlling traffic and enforcing parking rules and regulations.
• Assists in performing investigations.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Monitor entry points used for screening.
• Unarmed officers may assist armed officers if directed.
• All officers may fill in for dispatchers when needed during high volume or critical circumstances.

Salary

Most new hires start between $16.30-$20.30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.

• Will man weapons-detection system at entrance locations

Unarmed Security Officers, will be certified by the Arkansas State Police, are responsible for monitoring people or locations throughout the ACH Campus such as entry points, screening areas, and parking lots. These Officers can be used to monitor access management systems, security rounding, patient/parent/employee transports and would report any Security related issues to the ACH Security Dispatcher and on-duty Supervisors.
