Job summary

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is seeking professional unarmed security officers for Lexington, KY. You will perform inside patrols, deter crime, and deliver excellent customer service while maintaining a professional appearance.

Pay is $16.50 per hour, with weekly pay. Training is provided; retirees and veterans welcome. Shift is 3 pm - 11 pm, weekends included; both full- and part-time positions available. Must be 18+, able to walk/stand, pass a drug screen.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and security skills.
• Must be 18 years or older and able to walk/stand for extended periods.
• Retirees and Veterans are welcome. Training provided.
• Prior law enforcement, military or 1 year of security experience is a plus; training provided.
• Able to pass a drug screen and meet state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular and random patrols of multiple premises.
• Report security incidents, hazards or unusual occurrences.
• Operate emergency equipment when necessary and document nightly operations.
• Investigate breaches of property and file weekly reports.
• Maintain professional conduct, teamwork and flexibility in scheduling.

PayRate is$16.50 per hour, paid weekly .

Schedule:3 pm - 11 pm

Requirements : Must be 18 years or older and be able to walk/stand for extended periods of time.

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency.
• A Security Officer must be able to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances.
• A Security Officer must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of his/her duties if required.
• A Security Officer must be able to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress against distracting sound background conditions (e.g., machinery, traffic noise, etc.)
• A Security Officer must be able to: Walk, Run, Stand, Climb, Sit.
• A Security Officer must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required.
• A Security Officer must be in good mental health and be able to make decisions instantly on the event of an emergency.
• A Security Officer must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work. Must be able to obtain the status of license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed.
