Job summary

Inner Parish Security Corporation in Columbia, MO is hiring for professional inside patrol, unarmed security officers with excellent customer service and security skills. Shift times are 12 pm to 11:30 pm, with 3rd shift, weekends, and both full- and part-time openings.

Requirements include being 21+, valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and ability to walk/stand for long periods. Prior law enforcement or military experience is a plus, and a drug screen is required.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is hiring in Columbia, MO.

We are recruiting for professional inside patrol, unarmed security officers with excellent customer service and security skills to join our highly regarded team.

Shift Times: 12 pm - 11:30 pm

Requirements: Must be 21 years or older, have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Must be able to walk / stand for long periods of time.

Prior law enforcement experience, Military experience and/or 2 years of Unarmed Security in a plus.

You will help to prevent and deter crime through: - Performing both regular and random patrols of multiple premises - Reporting any security-related incidents, hazards or unusual occurrences - When necessary, performing control procedures - Operating emergency equipment - Documenting nightly operations and filing weekly reports - Investigating breaches of property

You must meet the following requirements: - Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills - Sound communication skills - Professional presentation - Ability to work as a team member and solo - Willingness and ability to work to a flexible roster, 7 days a week - Reliable transport - Active cellphone - Ability to pass a drug screen

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

• Must have effective written and verbal communication skills and must be able to communicate clearly and quickly in cases of emergency.
• A Security Officer must be able to read and interpret written information under a variety of circumstances.
• A Security Officer must be able to drive a motor vehicle in the course of his/her duties if required.
• A Security Officer must be able to detect and identify sounds relevant to fires, floods, alarm signals, and persons in distress against distracting sound background conditions (e.g., machinery, traffic noise, etc.)
• A Security Officer must be able to: Walk, Run, Stand, Climb, Sit.
• A Security Officer must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. waist high, if required.
• A Security Officer must be in good mental health and be able to make decisions instantly on the event of an emergency.
• A Security Officer must meet the physical and mental requirements of the state(s) to be licensed by the state to perform Security Guard / Security Officer work. Must be able to obtain the status of license required for the position, either Armed or Unarmed.
