Marksman Security LLC is hiring Unarmed Security Officers in Cedar Rapids, IA. The role offers full-time opportunities on all shifts with weekend availability. Pay starts at $21.00 per hour, with benefits including time off, holidays, and insurance options.

Must meet licensing and background requirements and be able to pass drug screening. Responsibilities include client service, patrols, incident reporting, and coordinating with emergency services as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid Iowa Security License, including state accredited training requirements.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, including lifting 50+ lbs, patrols, stairs, and inclement weather.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent Customer Service to all parties encountered while on duty, including assisting with directions and general business information.
• Enforce site rules by warning or reporting individuals violating regulations.
• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to identify safety and security risks.
• Respond to alarms, emergency calls, and incidents involving unauthorized individuals, injuries, or fires.
• Notify appropriate emergency services when necessary.
• Accurately complete and submit reports, records, and incident documentation in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the security manager.

Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:

• Conduct regular interior and exterior patrols to identify safety and security risks.
• Respond to alarms, emergency calls, and incidents involving unauthorized individuals, injuries, or fires.
• Notify appropriate emergency services (police, fire department, EMS) when necessary.
• Accurately complete and submit reports, records, and incident documentation in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the security manager.

Required Qualifications of Security Officers:

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Able to acquire and maintain a valid Iowa Security License, including state accredited training requirements
• Valid Driver's License
• Able to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
• Able to meet physical essential functions of the job, which can include lifting 50+ lbs, completing foot patrols, walking up and down stairs, working in inclement weather

Preferred Qualifications

• Bi-lingual considered a plus.
• Weekend availability required
