Job summary

Marksman Security is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a high-volume distribution and warehouse facility in Texas. The role focuses on access control, security checks, dock and warehouse monitoring, and patrols during 3rd shift, Sat–Wed, 10:00 PM–6:00 AM.

Starting pay is $17.50 per hour and requires a Texas Non-Commissioned Security License. The ideal candidate will have security and customer service experience, strong professionalism, attention to detail, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Texas Non-Commissioned Security License is required.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Monitoring and surveillance experience.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Commitment to Sat–Wed, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Access Control: Manage entry and exit per site procedures.
• Dock Operations: Monitor docks, log trucks, and assist peak-season tasks.
• Receiving Support: Process inbound trucks, log activity and communications.
• Security Checks: Conduct routine checks and report concerns.
• Rover: Patrol assigned areas to deter theft and observe activity.
• Site Monitoring: Use systems to monitor activity and maintain records.

• 3rd Shift
• Saturday thru Wednesday 10:00pm - 6:00am
• Texas Non-Commissioned Security License is Required

About This Schedule

• Shift: 3rd Shift
• Work Days: Sat–Wed
• Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Days Off: Thu, Fri
• Hours per Week: 40
• Employment Type: Full-Time
• Starting Pay: $17.50 / hour

Responsibilities

Responsibilities of Security Officers include, but are not limited to:

• Access Control: Perform access control and security checks according to site procedures.
• Dock Operations: Monitor shipping areas, open and close dock doors, log inbound and outbound trucks, and help prevent theft during loading and peak-season projects.
• Receiving Support: Assist with inbound truck processing, keep accurate logs, send and receive emails, and monitor open dock doors.
• Security Checks: Conduct security checks according to site procedures and report any concerns to your supervisor.
• Rover: Patrol assigned areas on foot to deter theft, and observe and report suspicious activity.
• Site Monitoring: Use site computer systems to monitor activity and keep accurate records according to site procedures.

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Non-commissioned security license through the state of Texas required!
• Strong customer service skills
• Familiarity with report writing
• Monitoring and surveillance experience
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• Able to commit to the posted schedule: Sat–Wed, 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM

Preferred Qualifications

• Bi-lingual considered a plus.
