Job summary

TriCorps in Arlington, VA is seeking an Unarmed Security Officer for a school environment. You will help maintain safety for students, staff and visitors; the role requires a current DCJS Unarmed Security License, reliability and strong communication. Part-time, 2nd and 3rd shifts, weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control access to school grounds, entrances and buildings.
• Provide a professional presence while interacting with students, staff and visitors.
• Conduct patrols of campus facilities and outdoor areas.
• Respond to alarms, incidents or requests for assistance per protocols.
• Communicate with staff, law enforcement, and TriCorps on safety issues.
• Prepare accurate daily activity, observation and incident reports.
• Support emergency procedures and assist during drills or crises.

• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or requests for assistance and follow established protocols.
• Communicate clearly with school staff, law enforcement, and TriCorps management regarding safety issues or incidents.
• Prepare accurate and detailed reports documenting daily activity, observations, and incidents.
• Support emergency procedures and assist during drills or crisis situations as directed.
