Join to apply for the Unarmed Security Guard - Part Time role at Chesapeake Shipbuilding.

This is a part-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Security Manager. The role offers a competitive pay of $18.00 per hour, with an additional $2.00 shift differential for evening and night shifts.

Hours:

• Saturday: 4:30am - 2:30pm and Sunday: 4:30am - 1:00pm
• OR
• Saturday & Sunday: 2:00pm - 10:00pm

Major Responsibilities:

• Manage security and safety of the shipyard premises.
• Monitor the front gate and access points.
• Patrol the buildings, grounds, and perimeters.
• Investigate suspicious activities and disturbances.
• Report security breaches.
• Maintain high visibility to prevent illegal actions.
• Inform personnel and visitors of security procedures.

Requirements:

• Physical ability to perform movements such as crawling, climbing, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work at heights up to 70 feet and in confined spaces.
• Must have a Maryland Security Guard Card.
