SECURITY OFFICER AT MCO AIRPORT – Part Time/Open Availability - $16.79/hr.

Reporting to: Operations Manager/Security Supervisor.

Job Description:
Southeast Protection Services (SPS) has immediate openings for Security Screeners. Security Screeners are responsible for the day-to-day security screening of airport employees and other individuals passing through Screening Locations.
Southeast Protection Services (SPS) is hiring for openings at Orlando International Airport for Full-time and Part-time security screeners.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for identifying dangerous objects and preventing those objects from being transported through screening locations.
  • Carry out duties professionally and courteously, providing exceptional customer service.
  • Use diverse, cutting-edge electronic detection and imaging equipment.
  • Perform metal detection searches, pat down searches, operation of x-ray machines, physical searches of property, and other identification reviews as needed.
  • Additional security-related duties to ensure the safety of the traveling public.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Must possess a current Florida Class-D Security License or Blue Temporary License.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must read, write, and speak English proficiently.
  • Must be able to pass a verifiable background check, including criminal employment, education, and personal references.
  • Must possess a valid state-issued Driver’s License or a valid state-issued I.D. card.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment / annual/random drug screenings.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to work and interact with the public.
  • Must be able to work with flexibility and changing schedules, including shifts throughout the day, afternoon, evening, and overnight as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS:
