Absolute International Security is seeking a highly professional Unarmed Security Guard to maintain a safe environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property in the Southern California region. The role requires excellent customer service, a neat appearance, and the ability to conduct regular patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide a visible security presence.

Shifts include Day, Swing, and Grave, with weekly pay and opportunities for part-time or full-time

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
• Outdoor work in varied weather conditions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Maintain professional appearance and grooming.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visible deterrent to prevent violations and unsafe behavior.
• Perform routine foot patrols of the assigned area.
• Monitor entrances and log visitors and vendors.
• Control access points and maintain logs.
• Observe and report suspicious activities and safety concerns.
• Prepare incident reports and daily activity logs.
• Communicate with supervisors, dispatchers, and clients.
• Respond promptly to alarms and incidents.
• Assist in evacuations and emergency procedures.
• Coordinate with law enforcement as needed.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance at all times.
• Use authorized less-than-lethal equipment per policy.
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining safety.

Job Title: Unarmed Security Guard

Pay Rate: $18.50 - $19.67

Available Job Schedules:

• Friday - Saturday: Day Shift (07:00 - 15:00) + Sunday - Monday: Swing Shift (15:00 - 23:00)
• Thursday - Saturday: Grave Shift (23:00 - 07:00)

FLSA Status: Full-Time / Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Job Overview

Absolute International Security is seeking highly professional security guards responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property. This role requires a customer-service focused demeanor, a neat and tidy appearance, along with the ability to perform regular patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide a visible security presence.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a visible deterrent to prevent rule violations, unsafe behavior, or criminal & transient activity
• Perform thorough routine foot patrols of the assigned area including public facility and surrounding areas
• Monitor entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles
• Control access points and maintain visitor/vendor logs
• Observe and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or policy violations
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation
• Communicate effectively over radio, phone, or in person with supervisors, dispatchers, and clients
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and disturbances
• Assist in evacuations and emergency procedures as required
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed
• Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance at all times
• Maintain authorized less-than-lethal equipment in compliance with company standards
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment for all
• Follow post orders, site protocols, and all relevant company procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and additional client requirements
• Strong verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required
• Comfortable working outdoors, including during varied weather conditions
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be dependable, committed to ethical conduct, and acts with integrity
• Must maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to company grooming and uniform standards

License & Certification Requirements

• Valid Government ID
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
• Pepper Spray Certification

Additional Preferred Skills

• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Security Guard Training Certificates preferred
• De-escalation and conflict management skills
