Job summary

Absolute International Security is seeking an armed security guard to maintain a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property. This role requires a customer-service focused demeanor, a neat and tidy appearance, along with the ability to perform regular patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide a visible security presence.

This position is Sundays day shift (06:00 - 14:00). The pay rate is $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, part-time, non-exempt.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to pass background check, drug screening, and client requirements.
• Strong verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to write clear and accurate incident reports.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks.
• Outdoor work in varied weather conditions.
• Reliable transportation.
• Depended, ethical, and maintains professional appearance and grooming standards.
• Licenses and certifications as required by clients and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visible deterrent to prevent violations or criminal activity.
• Conduct armed driving patrols of the assigned area, including municipal facilities and surrounding areas.
• Monitor entrances and exits of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
• Control access points and maintain visitor/vendor logs.
• Observe and report suspicious activities or safety hazards.
• Prepare incident reports and daily activity logs with accuracy.
• Communicate with supervisors, dispatchers, and clients via radio, phone, or in person.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and disturbances.
• Assist in evacuations and emergency procedures as required.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance at all times.
• Handle authorized less-than-lethal equipment per company standards.
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining safety.

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Act as a visible deterrent to prevent rule violations, unsafe behavior, or criminal activity
• Perform thorough routine armed driving patrols of the assigned area including of municipal facilities and surrounding areas
• Monitor entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehicles
• Control access points and maintain visitor/vendor logs
• Observe and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or policy violations
• Prepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentation
• Communicate effectively over radio, phone, or in person with supervisors, dispatchers, and clients
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and disturbances
• Assist in evacuations and emergency procedures as required
• Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as needed
• Maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance at all times
• Maintain authorized less-than-lethal equipment in compliance with company standards
• Provide outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment for all
• Follow post orders, site protocols, and all relevant company procedures

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to pass a background check, drug screening, and additional client requirements
• Strong verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to write clear and accurate reports
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks as required
• Comfortable working outdoors, including during varied weather conditions
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be dependable, committed to ethical conduct, and acts with integrity
• Must maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to company grooming and uniform standards

License & Certification Requirements

• Valid Government ID
• Valid Driver's License
• CPR/First Aid/AED Certification
• Pepper Spray Certification
• Exposed Firearm License
• Firearm Dealer Record of Sale (DROS)
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Additional Preferred Skills

• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Security Guard Training Certificates preferred
• De-escalation and conflict management skills
