Inner Parish Security Corporation (IPSC) is hiring in Charleston! We are recruiting professional LICENSED Unarmed Security Officers with excellent customer service and security skills to join our highly regarded team.

Pay Rate: $17/hr., paid weekly.

Position: Unarmed Inside Guard in the James Island/Folly Road Area

Possible Shift Times: 6:00am - 2:00pm

The ideal candidate will have: A current South Carolina Unarmed Guard Card.

Apply today! Full-time and part-time positions available. Retirees and veterans are welcome. Prior law enforcement, military experience, and/or 2 years of unarmed security experience are a plus.

Responsibilities include:

• Performing regular and random patrols of multiple premises
• Reporting security incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences
• Performing control procedures when necessary
• Operating emergency equipment
• Documenting nightly operations and filing weekly reports
• Investigating property breaches

You must meet the following requirements:

• Excellent customer service and conflict resolution skills
• Strong communication skills
• Professional appearance
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, 7 days a week
• Reliable transportation
• Active cellphone
• Ability to pass a drug screening

Physical and Mental Job Requirements:

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, especially in emergencies
• Ability to read and interpret written information
• Ability to drive a vehicle if required
• Ability to detect and identify sounds relevant to emergencies
• Physical ability to walk, run, stand, climb, sit
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. waist high
• Good mental health to make quick decisions during emergencies
• Must meet state licensing requirements for security work
