Job summary

Guardian Service Industries in the United States (New York area) is seeking an Unarmed Security Guard Floater for Part-Time or Full-Time roles. Pay rate is $18.00 per hour, with morning, evening, and overnight availability required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid security guard license as dictated by state law.
• 8 hour + 16 hour security certificates required.
• Prior security or guarding experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols of the site interior and perimeter to identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions.
• Coordinate expedient responses to emergency conditions, including fires, safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner.
• Handle undesired conduct, violations of building policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of guests, employees, patrons and property.
• Monitor site for any unusual activity; report via radio to the supervisor on duty and report alarms.
• Maintain surveillance, including security camera footage, and reporting of any suspicious persons and/or packages.
• Execute a number of comprehensive and integrated security measures and countermeasures.
• Must be able to adapt physically and to the changing needs and priorities of the site.

The Role:

Most/all of the following service tasks are to be completed daily depending on your role.

Responsibilities and Skills:

• Conduct patrols of the site interior and perimeter to identify potential security and safety risks or undesirable conditions. Evaluates situations and makes logical decisions on how to proceed and direct work.
• Coordinate expedient responses to emergency conditions, including fires, safety hazards and threats to life and/or property in a calm, rational and persuasive manner. Handles undesired conduct, violations of building policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of guests, employees, patrons and property.
• Monitor site for any unusual activity. In the case of suspicious behavior, reports via radio to the supervisor on duty; reports any alarms similarly.
• Maintain surveillance, including security camera footage, and reporting of any suspicious persons and/or packages.
• Execute a number of comprehensive and integrated security measures and countermeasures
• Must be able to adapt physically and to the changing needs and priorities of the site.

Education and Experience:
