Job summary

Asset Protection and Security is seeking an Unarmed Security Guard for Capitol Contract in Washington, DC. Applicants must be U.S.

citizens or naturalized, hold a high school diploma or GED, pass medical/physical exams, read/write/speak English fluently, be 21+, and have a valid driver’s license. Qualifying options include security experience with military service, an associate degree in security or law enforcement, or police training, with federal clearance required.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or naturalized citizen.
• Must have a high school diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Must pass medical and physical standards examination.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted state driver’s license.
• Must meet one of: 2 years security/armed or unarmed experience + military service; or an AAS in security/law enforcement; or police basic training completion.
• Federal clearance required.

Unarmed Security Guard - Captiol Contract

CSOs must meet the following qualifications, to be vetted by the contract agency prior to referral.

1. 1. Possess United States citizenship (either by birth or naturalization).


2. 2. Possess a valid high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED), or equivalency.


3. 3. Pass a medical and physical standards examination.


4. 4. Be able to read, write and speak the English language fluently.


5. 5. Be at least 21 years of age.


6. 6. Possess a valid, unrestricted (except eyewear) state driver’s license.


7. 7. Satisfy one of the following: 1) Two years of service in the United States Armed Services (including Reserve or National Guard); 2) Any combination of two years of experience in physical security (as a security officer—armed or unarmed) and service with the United States Armed Services (including Reserves or National Guard; 3) Associate’s Degree in a security or law enforcement field; or 4) Successful completion of a police officer’s basic training academy.
