Job Skills / Requirements

Job Title: Unarmed Security Officer

Location: Southaven, MS

Schedule: Monday-Thursday

Shift: 10p-6a

Pay Rate: $15.00

• A valid driver's license is preferred for most positions.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

The following are the duties necessary to satisfy the minimum requirements of the position. Other duties may be assigned as needed.

• Execute security services as outlined in the Post Order Manual and policies, under the direction of SMSSI Management.
• Conduct walking, vehicular, golf cart, or bicycle patrols of the building or assigned areas.
• Identify and report security threats, unsafe conditions, hazards, or emergencies.
• Perform site-specific duties such as customer service, loss prevention, retail security, lobby/visitor reception, freight elevator security, loading dock security, among others.
• Write detailed incident reports during shifts, noting unusual activities and resolutions, and contact appropriate personnel as needed.
• Know and implement site-specific policies and emergency procedures.
• Follow all company procedures, maintain acceptable attendance, and adhere to grooming and customer service standards.
• Participate in all required training programs.
• Respond to incidents per Post Orders and Use of Force Policy, ensuring proper action, reporting, and notifications.
• Support security, customer service, or other functions as directed.

Education Requirements

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
