Job summary

Cherokee Nation Entertainment is seeking an entry-level Security Guard to protect assets across our Oklahoma properties. The role includes patrols, guest assistance, incident reporting, and coordination with law enforcement as needed.

You will engage in safeguarding guests and staff, verify identifications for age compliance, and follow strict safety procedures. This position emphasizes safety-sensitive duties with required CPR and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Entry-level position with little to no prior experience.
• CLEET unarmed security guard license required within 180 days of hire.
• CPR certification required.
• Pass security custody control test.
• Obtain and maintain licensing by applicable gaming authority.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Responsibilities

• Protect the physical assets of the properties and report safety hazards.
• Prevent guests from bringing prohibited items and address violations.
• Patrol casinos, smoke shops, and parking areas.
• Greet guests and provide directions and assistance.
• Provide CPR/first aid and assist guests and employees as needed.
• Detect suspicious activity and notify leadership.
• Maintain relations with local law enforcement and fire departments.
• Maintain detailed incident reports per policy.

NOTE, this job is a safety sensitive position subject to drug testing requirements. A positive drug test will result in a job offer being rescinded or, for active employees, termination, even if they test positive for marijuana and have a valid medical marijuana license.

Responsibilities

• Provide protection for the physical assets of the properties, including guests and employees, and report all safety hazards to leadership.
• Prevent guests from entering premises with prohibited items and address any guests in violation of policies and procedures.
• Patrol the physical facilities, including casinos, smoke shops, and parking lots.
• Greet guests and provide directions and assistance as needed.
• Provide aid to any guest or employees who may request or require it, including performing CPR and first aid procedures.
• Detect suspicious activity and behavior and notify leadership.
• Maintain a good working relationship with local law enforcement agencies and fire and safety departments.
• Maintain detailed written reports of incidents following policies and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with age requirements by reviewing guests' identification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
• This is an entry-level position with little to no previous work experience required.
• State of Oklahoma Council of Law Enforcement, Education, and Training (CLEET) unarmed security guard license required within 180 days of hire.
• CPR certification required.
• Working knowledge of defensive tactics.
• Working knowledge of surveillance video systems and how to maintain the chain of evidence.
• Ability to pass a security-approved custody control test.
• Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming authority.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.
