Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Flex position in Houston. The role focuses on safeguarding clients across industries using flexible shifts and a mobile post-pickup platform. Part-time hours are available with pay that accommodates various schedules.

You will perform patrols, monitor entrances, and respond to incidents, while maintaining logs and communicating clearly with the public and team members. The job offers growth and varied site experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Valid driver’s license if operating a company or customer vehicle.
• Be at least 18 years old (21 if armed).

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or unauthorized presence.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances/exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft and ensure proper removal of property.
• Investigate accidents/incidents; maintain logs as required by the post.
• Assist customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary per site Post Orders.
