Job summary

Security Care is seeking an unarmed School Security Officer in Cheltenham, PA. The ideal candidate has prior experience in school security and is highly motivated to protect students and staff.

This part-time position offers consistent hours: 4 days per week, Monday through Friday, 7:00am–3:00pm, and pays $18.25 per hour. Candidates must pass a background check; Act 67 is preferred and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable transportation.
• Minimum 3-5 years verified security experience; high school environment a plus.
• Act 67 preferred but will provide training.
• Must pass Background check.
• Reliable means of communication (active e-mail and cell phone).
• Ability to comprehend and utilize the English language, written and verbal.
• CPR/First Aid Certification (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform security procedures and site-specific tasks per policy.
• Convey information between client, staff and organization.
• Perimeter and interior patrols; monitor CCTV; secure assets and stand posts.
• Prepare incident reports; coordinate with client and agencies.
• Observe and report any events impacting operations.
