Job summary

Marksman Security is hiring an unarmed Retail Security Officer in Millcreek, Utah. You will patrol exterior property, deter unwanted activity, and protect guests and tenants with a professional, service-minded approach.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, reporting clearly, assisting guests, and coordinating with local authorities. The role requires a 21+ age, a high school diploma, a DOPL unarmed license, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Non-commissioned/unarmed security license via DOPL.
• Strong customer service skills are essential.
• Familiarity with report writing and documentation.
• Computer skills and proficiency with Office/Workspace.
• Able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Bi-lingual considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patrols of exterior property, parking lots, walkways, loading docks and perimeter areas.
• Maintain a high-visibility security presence to deter incidents and assist guests.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, unauthorized access, loitering, vandalism, and hazards.
• Respond promptly to incidents and disturbances, including outdoor emergencies.
• Provide first-response support until authorities arrive and document incidents clearly.
• Offer professional assistance to guests, tenants and employees, including directions and escorts.
• Inspect doors, gates, lighting, fencing and access points for security and functionality.
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns and support loss prevention.
• Maintain radio communication and follow post orders and procedures.
• Collaborate with onsite management, local police and emergency responders as needed.
• Provide security coverage for events and high-traffic periods; assist with crowd management.
