Job summary

New England Security is seeking dedicated unarmed Public safety officers to manage the security and safety of sites across the Boston and New England areas. In this role, your duties will include performing access control, monitoring security equipment, and patrolling. This is an hourly full-time position and is eligible for overtime pay.

Nights, weekends, and holidays are standard shifts. Applicants must be at least 18, have a high school diploma, a clean driving record, pass a CORI background

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must pass a basic criminal background check (CORI).
• Must pass drug test at time of hire and periodically.
• Massachusetts driver’s license preferred (4 years minimum).
• Must own a smartphone, preferably with an NFC reader.

Responsibilities

• Patrolling buildings, facilities, and perimeters of assigned sites.
• Investigating suspicious or unusual activities and disturbances.
• Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities.
• Maintaining high visibility to deter unlawful actions.
• Authorizing the entrance of employees, visitors, and vehicles with proper credentials.
• Monitoring alarm systems and video surveillance systems.
• Protecting assets and reporting emergencies to police or fire department.

Description

We are looking for dedicated and alert unarmed Public safety officers to manage the security and safety of sites throughout the Boston and New England areas. In this role, your duties will include performing access control, monitoring security equipment, and patrolling. To ensure success, unarmed security guards should be able to assess security concerns and take proactive steps in maintaining a safe and secure environment.

Job Duty Summary

• Patrolling buildings, facilities, and perimeters of assigned sites
• Investigating suspicious or unusual activities and disturbances
• Preventing losses and damage by reporting irregularities
• Preventing illegal or inappropriate actions by maintaining a high visibility presence
• Authorizing the entrance of employees, visitors, and vehicles, ensuring that credentials are in order
• Monitoring alarm systems and video surveillance systems
• Protecting assets
• Contacting appropriate services such as police and the fire department in cases of emergency

Position Type and Hours

• This is an hourly full-time position and is eligible for overtime pay.
• Days and hours or work will vary depending on the operational needs of the company.
• Nights and weekends will be required as a standard shift period. Must be available to work holidays.

Required Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A clean driving record with less than 4 points
