Job summary

Allied Universal in Black Mountain, NC is seeking a Security Guard Part Time Patrol to serve clients in various industries. As an unarmed patrol officer, you will monitor areas, deter incidents, and provide a friendly, professional presence for customers and team members.

The role offers a flexible part-time schedule with day and evening shifts; pay is $17.00 per hour. You will perform patrols, respond to concerns, and document observations according to site policies.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of grocery store sales floors, entrances, loading areas, parking lots, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, policy violations, or potential loss-prevention concerns.
• Respond to incidents, customer disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as needed.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site management and Allied Universal leadership.
