Job summary

Allied Universal in Latrobe, PA is seeking a Security Officer to perform full-time patrol duties in a healthcare setting. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver courteous service to patients, visitors, and staff.

The role pays $17.00 per hour with a night shift schedule running Mon through Sun from 12:00 AM to 08:00 AM, and requires strong communication and situational awareness to support a safe, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain communication with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
