Allied Universal in Houston, TX is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Deescalation to provide reliable security services at a financial institution site, with anchor shifts and optional extra shifts through our scheduling platform. Key duties include customer service to clients and staff, responding to incidents, patrolling areas, and verifying credentials.

Requirements: HS diploma or equivalent, background check, drug screen if required, and a valid driver’s license

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Background investigation will be conducted in accordance with laws.
• Drug screen may be required.

As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Deescalation in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking‑up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $17.00 / Hour

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick‑up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part‑time hours this week and full‑time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part‑time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build‑up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, entrances, ATM areas, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and assist with directing authorized individuals to appropriate areas.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and irregularities in accordance with site‑specific policies and Allied Universal procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
