Job summary

Allied Universal in Thousand Oaks, CA is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Access Control. You will protect clients across healthcare settings, monitor entrances, and provide friendly, professional service.

The role requires at least 1 year in security, valid CPR/First Aid preferred, ability to lift up to 20 pounds, and a high school diploma. You will complete incident reports and respond to emergencies following protocols.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and report irregularities according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response protocols.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
