Job summary

Airgas is hiring an Unapplied Cash Specialist in Independence, OH. The role partners with teams to research and resolve unapplied payments and open credit memos on customer accounts.

You will collaborate with division finance, regional branches, and external customers to align balances and resolve discrepancies. Required elements include prior customer service and AR exposure; SAP and Microsoft D365 experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• Prior customer service and accounts receivable experience.
• Experience with cash applications, billing or collections preferred.
• SAP and D365 familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve unapplied payments and open credit memos.
• Collaborate with customers and Airgas associates to resolve payment discrepancies.
• Review reports and documents to research payment issues.
• Handle inbound customer inquiries via phone or email.
• Identify root causes of overpayments and escalate as needed.
• Assist with unclaimed property processes and related duties.
