Job summary

Gentry Service Group in Western North Carolina is hiring an Unlicensed Electrician Assistant to learn from experienced pros. This hands-on role offers paid training, steady work, and a clear path to grow into a licensed electrician.

You will work on residential retrofit projects, install disconnects, run new circuits, and assist with panel replacements and generator installations while delivering high-quality workmanship and customer service.

Qualifications

• Ability to physically perform all job functions related to electrical installation.
• Valid driver's license with insurable driving record.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication skills and ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Work side-by-side with our Lead Electrician on residential retrofit projects (the majority of the work).
• Install air conditioner and heat pump disconnects.
• Run new circuits for gas furnaces and air handlers.
• Assist with panel replacements and generator installations.
• Help with miscellaneous electrical projects for residential and light commercial customers.
• Learn best practices while delivering high-quality work and excellent customer service.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, full-time (Some flexibility and occasional overtime based on project needs)
