Job summary

The Department of Urology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine seeks a Clinical Urologist (Staff Physician) for DSMC, Lennar, and SoLeMia locations. The role emphasizes outpatient care with potential ambulatory procedures and surgical activity through the UM clinical practice plan.

Ideal candidates hold an MD/DO, complete a Urology residency, and are licensed or eligible for Florida licensure; board certification or eligibility is required.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school or foreign equivalent.
• Urology Residency completed or in progress.
• Florida license to practice or eligible for licensure in Florida.
• Board-certified or Board-eligible in Urology.

Responsibilities

• Primarily in an outpatient clinic environment.
• May include coverage of some outpatient procedures in an ambulatory setting.
• Perform clinical activity through the UM Clinical Group with surgical activity at UM Hospital/Clinics and affiliated hospitals.
• Demonstrate effective communication and patient service in a fast-paced academic setting.

The Department of Urology at the University of Miami Miller School Of Medicine is seeking applicants for a Clinical Urologist (Staff Physician) for our DSMC, Lennar, and new SoLeMia location.

Essential Job Functions:

• Primarily in an outpatient clinic environment
• May include responsibility for coverage of some outpatient procedures in an ambulatory setting
• Perform clinical activity through the University of Miami Clinical Group (UMMG) clinical practice plan including surgical activity at University of Miami Hospital and Clinics and/or other affiliated hospitals
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record system is preferred
• Effective communication, sound customer service skills and prompt responsiveness are essential in this role
• Compassion, teamwork, adaptability, and high levels of professionalism are required
