Meadowview Behavioral Hospital is seeking a UM Coordinator to manage external communications with case managers and managed care to certify insurance benefits during a patient’s stay. You will support the treatment team in interpreting insurer requirements for continued stay and discharge planning.
You will advocate for patient access and lead treatment team discussions on continued stay reviews. The role requires a Bachelor’s or Master’s in social work, mental health, nursing, or related field

How will you make a difference?
The UM Coordinator is responsible for contacts external case managers/managed care organizations for certification and recertification of insurance benefits throughout the patient’s stay, and assists the treatment team in understanding the insurance company’s requirements for continued stay and discharge planning. The UM Coordinator is responsible for having a thorough understanding of the patient’s treatment through communication with the treatment team. The UM Coordinator advocates for the patient’s access to services during treatment team meetings and through individual physician contact. The UM Coordinator chairs treatment team meetings and continued stay reviews as indicated.

Compensation ranges from $23.00 to $30.00 per hour, depending on employment status, experience, qualifications, and skill level.
