Overview
MXR Imaging, Inc, a nationwide provider of Medical Imaging solutions in X-Ray, CT, MRI and Ultrasound, is seeking an experienced Ultrasound/X-Ray Field Service Engineer. This person will be responsible for corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of medical imaging equipment, scheduled planned maintenance (PM) events and installation of medical imaging equipment at customer facilities. This position is home office based. Overnight travel for service and training is expected.

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of customer satisfaction by providing ongoing maintenance, technical support, troubleshooting and repairs for medical imaging equipment, including X-Ray systems (stationary and portable), digital imaging, PACS and networking environments, C-Arms, Ultrasound and Fluoro systems.
- Installation of imaging equipment, including project management, site inspections, site planning assistance, and interaction with customers and contractors to ensure site readiness to OEM specifications.
- Complete all necessary state and FDA paperwork associated with the installation of radiation generating equipment.
- Order parts and supplies required to maintain equipment and complete assigned service tickets.
- Maintain working knowledge and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations and industry standards.
- Provide On-Call service coverage after normal business hours on a rotation basis with fellow team members in the area.
- Complete administrative duties including service ticket closure, time sheets, expense reporting, FDA reporting, radiation badge compliance, and tools/test equipment care as required by company policy.
Requirements
Education & Certifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Bachelor of Science in an engineering discipline (electrical, biomedical, or computer engineering); Military electronics background desired; Associates degree acceptable with direct experience
- Must be eligible to obtain Radiation Safety Certification per state requirements (if applicable)
Experience
- 5+ years' experience in the Medical Imaging Field Service industry with proven diagnostic and repair skills for medical imaging equipment.
- Experience or training on: Siemens, GE, Philips, Toshiba, Hitachi, and/or Samsung equipment; Carestream Medical Imaging Systems; Quantum Medical Imaging; Canon RadPRO Portables and In-room; Del Medical; Konica Minolta Digital Imaging Systems; Fuji DR Imaging Products; GE AMX Portables & OEC C-Arms; Summit / Amrad Medical Imaging.
Travel
- Valid driver’s license and a solid five-year driving record.
- Valid and continuous personal automobile insurance coverage as required by the state of residence; must provide proof of auto insurance upon request.
- Willing and able to undertake day travel up to 75% of the time; overnight travel up to 50% on short notice, including evenings and weekends.
- Willing and able to be on-call, travel and/or work evenings, holidays and weekends if needed.
- Must live within a reasonable driving distance of a major airport; MXR reserves the right to determine what constitutes reasonable distance.
Competencies
- Detail oriented and self-motivated.
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic computer skills, Windows networking.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, coworkers and OEM support personnel for positive outcomes.
