Description

This position will support the Westwood and Santa Monica region, primarily in the Westwood Campus area, providing patient care for our inpatient and outpatient settings. This position participates in on-call, holiday, and weekend schedules as prepared by the manager. Additionally, participation in rotating shifts is required, as needed.

In this role, you will:

1. Provide age-appropriate assessment and interventions to meet the needs of patients and families served
2. Obtain, evaluate, and use information from the patient requisition, medical records, referring physician, and correlate with acquired images
3. Use cognitive sonographic skills to identify and differentiate anatomy and pathology
4. Use independent judgment to produce diagnostic images of human anatomy utilizing diagnostic ultrasound systems for our referring providers and interpreting physicians
5. Extend courtesy to patients, family members, visitors, and co-workers through our "World Class Practices" Service Standards

Staff Sonographer:

• One to two years of experience within the hospital / acute care setting
• Must maintain active RDMS certification in one specialty, such as Abdomen or OB-GYN
• Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound program is strongly preferred
• Salary Range: $55.94 - $73.81 Hourly

Senior Sonographer:

• Minimum of four years of prior experience within the hospital / acute care setting
• Must maintain active RDMS certification in three specialties: Abdomen, OB-GYN, and RVT
• Proficient in Abdomen, OB-Gyn, Pediatric, and Vascular Sonography. Proficiency in interventional procedures is also required.
• Graduate of CAAHAP accredited ultrasound school is strongly preferred
• Salary Range: $62.43 - $76.12 Hourly

Internal candidates will be placed according to their current career ladder level.

Salary Range (Staff through Senior): $55.94 - $76.12 Hourly
