Job summary

United Urology Group in Towson, MD seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform diagnostic abdominal studies, obtain high-quality images, and assist physicians with interpretation. You will ensure patient safety, maintain equipment, and transfer images to PACS while upholding HIPAA compliance.

The role requires an associate degree, ARDMS Abdomen/Physics, and BLS certification; travel to affiliated sites may be required. Excellent teamwork and patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• Associates degree required.
• Minimum of one year of diagnostic abdominal ultrasound experience.
• ARDMS Abdomen and Physics certification required and will be verified.
• Certificate of completion from an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
• BLS certification required and verified.
• Maintain CME requirements per ARDMS.

Responsibilities

• Perform exams safely and efficiently.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist with transfers to ultrasound table.
• Operate ultrasound equipment and obtain quality diagnostic images.
• Provide oral/written summaries to assist physician diagnosis.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and report equipment issues.
• Travel to other sites within region as needed.
