Job summary

Providence Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, CA, is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join the Ultrasound Unit on a full-time basis with 12-hour day shifts. Under the direction of Radiologists and Supervisors, you will perform ultrasound exams, produce diagnostic images, and coordinate scheduling and workflow.

The role requires ARDMS certification and BLS, with a preferred 1 year imaging experience.

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography.
  • Required Qualifications: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 1 year experience in Sonography or a related Imaging field.

Responsibilities

  • Performs all the professional duties involved in the utilization of high frequency sound waves for ultrasonic diagnosis at the technical level.
  • Produces and evaluates images and related data to be used by physicians to render medical diagnosis.
  • Performs related clerical tasks and assumes responsibility for coordinating exams performed.

Under the direction of the Radiologist/Cardiologist and Supervisor, Sonography and with latitude for independent judgment, performs all the professional duties involved in the utilization of high frequency sound waves for ultrasonic diagnosis at the technical level. Acts in compliance with Federal, State, and Joint Commission standards. Produces and evaluates images and related data to be used by physicians to render medical diagnosis. Performs related clerical tasks and assumes responsibility for coordinating exams performed.

Required Qualifications:

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
