About Our Career Opportunity

Summit Diagnostic Center at Fountain City is seeking a Registered Ultrasound Technologist to join their team. This is a Full time opportunity.

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: (List does not include all duties assigned)

+ Performs ultrasound procedures on all scheduled patients safely and accurately.

+ Follows imaging protocols to assure consistent and accurate test results.

+ Treats patients in a professional and pleasant manner while attending to their needs and maximizing their level of comfort.

+ Adheres to established policies and procedures, including ACR accreditation imaging guidelines, OSHA and the corporate compliance plan.

+ Adjusts to varying workflow as needed; requests assistance from co-workers and or supervisor as appropriate.

+ Maintains ultrasound equipment QC

+ Orders and stocks all supplies, as requested by supervisor.

+ Notifies supervisor in a timely manner re: any challenges with equipment.

+ Maintains appropriate logs, card files, film folders, test results, etc., in an orderly fashion.

+ Assists in other areas during idle times in assigned areas.

+ Performs all duties while exhibiting a courteous and cooperative manner to all co-workers, management, and the public.

+ Maintains CPR certification and all certifications/ continuing education required and appropriate for position.

+ Demonstrates current competencies related to job position.

+ Maintains strict confidentiality.

+ Performs related tasks as requested by supervisor.

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent; completion of all required courses in ultrasound technology.

EXPERIENCE: Two years’ experience in ultrasound preferred. Experience in echocardiography preferred but not required.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE: RDMS certification required.
