Job description

Prepare patients for procedures and assume responsibility for their needs during the process. Perform procedures accurately and thoroughly in a timely manner, following the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual, upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist.

Education:

• Completion of Sonography Program Preferred

Experience:

• 3 years Medical Imaging - Sonographer Preferred

Certifications/Licensures:

• BLS Basic Life Support - American Heart Association - Required
• Currently credentialed with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, with a current RDMS license with subspecialty registries in Abdomen and OB/GYN, and current RVT license
• BR Breast Certification - ARDMS - Required at sites that perform Diagnostic Mammography, if performing diagnostic breast ultrasound - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• OB/GYN - ARDMS - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• RVT Registered Vascular Technologist - ARDMS - Must be obtained within 90 days of hire, with a 14-month deadline for new graduates
• If unable to acquire missing sub-specialty licenses due to extenuating circumstances, a 90-day extension may be granted at the discretion of the Medical Imaging Director

Work Shifts:

0700-1530, 0730-1600, 0800-1630, 0830-1700, 1145-2015

Work Shift:

08.0 Per Diem, No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$79.65 - $115.42 hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH that are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes. The work shift will contain the word 'exempt' on it.
