Job summary

Indiana University Health’s Riley Hospital for Children is seeking a PRN ultrasound technologist to support weekends, evenings and nights. You will perform diagnostic ultrasound exams for pediatric to adult patients, ensuring timely imaging and patient comfort.

The role requires BLS certification and active credentials with ARDMS/ARRT/CCI as applicable by accreditation, plus ISDH licensure if required. You will operate ultrasound equipment and position patients per physician directions.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Active status through ARDMS/ARRT or CCI credentials as required by facility accreditation.
• May require ISDH license.
• Ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions as patient condition requires.

Responsibilities

• Performs ultrasound procedures for radiological diagnosis in a timely fashion from pediatric to adult patients.
• Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly to record diagnostic images.
• Treats patients with care and respect.

This is a PRN position to help with weekends, evenings, and nights, at Riley Hospital.

Performs ultrasound procedures for radiological diagnosis, in a timely fashion, while demonstrating the appropriate knowledge and skills necessary to work with patients from pediatric through adults. Follows physician's instructions, prepares and operates equipment and positions patients correctly in order to record the requested diagnostic images. Treats patients with care and respect.

• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Requires active status through one of the following: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - Abdomen, RDMS(AB), Obstetrics & Gynecology, RDMS(OB/GYN), or Pediatric Sonography, RDMS(PS), and/or Registered Vascular Technologist - Vascular Technology, RVT(VT); American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT): Registered Technologist - Sonography, RT(S) or Vascular Sonography, RT(VS); or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI): Registered Vascular Sonographer, RVS; as required by facility accreditation, if applicable.
• May be required to be registered by the ARRT in another modality, if applicable.
• May require license from Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH), if applicable.
• Requires ability to maneuver equipment and improvise positions when the condition of the patient does not permit routine positioning.
