Job summary

OSF HealthCare in Peoria, IL is seeking an Ultrasound Tech I to perform and record two-dimensional ultrasound examinations and document findings. You will coordinate with providers on imaging results and ensure appropriate additional images are obtained as needed.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited ultrasound program, RDMS/ARRT/CCI (or eligible), BLS, and strong communication and analytical skills.

Qualifications

Completion of an accredited ultrasound program.
RDMS/RVT/CCI/ARRT certifications or eligible.
BLS for Healthcare Providers.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Perform and record two-dimensional ultrasound examinations using ultrasonic equipment in various modes and techniques to locate, evaluate and record pertinent data.
Complete patient intake via collection of medical history and answer patient questions regarding imaging procedures.
Confer with providers on the results of imaging tests and collaborates to determine if additional images are required.
