Job summary

Hartford Hospital seeks an Ultrasound Technologist to perform abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts, Doppler, and interventional ultrasound exams, providing high-quality images for radiologists and physicians in a 100% clinical role.

Requirements include ARDMS/RDMS eligibility and graduation from an accredited ultrasound program; strong communication skills and ongoing education. May rotate to OR/IR within Hartford HealthCare.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality images for radiologists and physicians.
• Work in a 100% clinical setting across Hartford HealthCare facilities.

Job Summary:

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic procedures on patients using ultrasound waves to examine tissue and body structure, providing quality images to radiologists and physicians for interpretation. The Ultrasound Technologist performs all aspects of ultrasound procedures including abdominal, pelvic, gynecologic, small parts, Doppler studies and interventional procedures utilizing an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient’s individual age specific needs and to provide individualized age specific treatment and care. This position may require performing procedure in other departments such as O.R., I.R. and on hospital inpatient units. This position is 100% clinical.
