Job summary

Medical City Decatur, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to perform ultrasound procedures, follow physician orders, maintain patient care standards, and participate in call/holiday coverage.

We require BLS within 30 days, RDMS/ARRT registration within 6 months, and an associate degree or higher (bachelor's preferred). One year of experience is preferred. Vascular certification is required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Must have Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of employment start date.
• Must have Diagnostic Medical Sonographer credential within 6 months of employment start date.
• Registered/eligible by RDMS or ARRT (S); if not advanced, certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire/promotion/transfer.
• Must be BLS by AHA or ARC.
• Must be registered for Vascular.
• Prefer at least 1 year of experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs quality Ultrasound procedures and follows physician orders.
• Maintains patient care standards and excellent customer service.
• Participates in call/holiday coverage and department initiatives.

Education

Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology

Vocational School Graduate

Bachelor's Degree preferred
