Qualifications

• Associates degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or higher.
• BLS certification required.
• ARDMS certifications preferred (Abdomen, Vascular, OB/GYN).
• Experience with Ultrasound and Non-Invasive Vascular exams.
• Knowledge of RIS/PACS workflow and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Performs Ultrasound examinations as per Radiology/Ultrasound Procedure Guide.
• Assesses patients and reports findings promptly.
• Mentors/helps develop other staff.
• Promotes professional practice within radiology services.
• Participates in quality monitoring to meet hospital standards (DNV, etc.).
• Ensures optimal equipment performance and quality control testing.
• Pursues continuing education to enhance skills.
• Coordinates department communications and patient care within radiology team.
• Attends departmental and hospital committee meetings as assigned.
• Maintains supplies and inventory.
• Utilizes RIS/PACS effectively within scope of role.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
