Job summary

Nebraska Medicine is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist (PRN/Casual) for the Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. You will perform quality diagnostic sonograms and support patient care across all ages, under supervision, with emphasis on accuracy and collaboration.

This role requires ARDMS within one year, BCLS, and completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program or equivalent experience. We offer relocation assistance and tuition benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be able to manage patient/family of all age groups.
• Completion of a CAAHEP accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography, AMA approved school of ultrasonography, OR comparable work experience in abdomen and OB/Gyn.
• Proficient with computers and email applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Ability to obtain ARDMS certification within one year of hire.
• Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality diagnostic medical sonograms under supervision to ensure accurate and appropriate imaging information for diagnosis and treatment.
• Coordinate resources for diagnostic ultrasound service delivery and problem solve as needed.
• Escalate to management and coordinate with other health care providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Model effective work group processes and fiscal responsibility within the department.
